I provide consultation with the goal of empowering families by transforming complex assessment data into a roadmap for their child's success. I can provide clarity and guidance with:
Interpreting evaluation reports
Understanding the special education process (IEP) and Section 504 process
Determining which pathway provides the appropriate level of support for your child.
And crafing meaningful accommodations and interventions to ensure a child's unique strengths and needs are accurately understood and supported at home and in the classroom.
Navigating the complexities of parenthood doesn't have to be a solo journey. I am delighted to provide collaborative consultation to bridge between clinical expertise and everyday parenting, designed to help your child thrive.
Parent Coaching:
Transform your home dynamic with empathetic, evidence-based strategies. I love moving beyond "one-size-fits-all" advice to help you understand the why behind your child's behavior and personalize strategies that fit your lifestyle and values. My goal is to foster deeper connection with your child and a more peaceful household.
Behavioral Consultation:
With years of experience in neurodivergence, I work to develop personalized, actionable plans that respect your child's unique profile - addressing challenges in executive functioning, emotional regulation, and social communication with precision and care.
My work has focused extensively on providing children, of all ages, with preventative social-emotional education as well as intensive mental health intervention. Individual Counseling is offered on a short-term basis (generally 6 to 12 months) to youth/young adults, and typically includes some family coaching and "homework." I also provide psychoeducation for neurodivergent youth to better understand the impact of a given diagnosis.
My work is based in Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). By combinging these two methods, I aim to provide a full-spectrum approach to help youth reach their potential and whether lifes many complexities with confidence.
Positive Psychology focuses on what is right rather than what is wrong. By focusing on character strengths, developing a growth mindset, and increasing positive engagement, children form the foundation to persevere through challenges and set backs.
Cognitive- Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a practical, goal-oriented approach for developing an understanding of the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Strategies target managing strong emotions, practicing healthy coping strategies, perspective-taking, and social communication.
If you have concerns for your child's learning, psycho-educational assessments can provide clarity, understanding, and a starting point for meaningful intervention.
Basic Cognitive/IQ testing or Dyslexia Screening: Recommended for families wondering if their child may require gifted/talented education (GATE), or may require more extensive learning supports at home and at school. If results suggest the possibility of a learning issue, fees may be applied to a more extensive diagnostic evaluation.
Diagnostic Evaluations: Recommended if you have concerns for your childs learing/processing, academic progress, and/or social-emotional functioning. Evaluations are not "one-size-fits-all" and will be tailored based on your specific referral concerns to limit time and expense.
What to expect:
Initial Conversation: Start with a brief phone call to understand your concerns and determine what type of evaluation is needed
Intake & Planning: Complete a background/history form, share records and determine a personalized assessment plan - nothing unnecessary
Testing Sessions: Testing is typically completed across 1-3 sessions depending on assessment needs, attention, and stamina. The priority is creating a comfortable experience!
Analysis: I will synthesize data from tests, surveys, and clinical observations to provide a comprehensive written report.
Feedback: We meet to review the results, discuss any diagnoses, and - most importantly - outline a plan for home and school.
